what time is the Curfew?

All events must comply with Scenic Rim Regional Council noise approval, which means music must finish by 11:30pm. All guests not staying in the main house will need to vacate the premises by midnight.

IS the venue pet friendly?

We love animals at Royston and invite you to include pets at your ceremony. All pets must remain on leads and you can discuss the logistics with our venue coordinator.

can we have live music? 

Live and amplified music are permitted. Live music is limited to a 3-piece band (maximum).
PA equipment/sound system is to be supplied by the couple.

Is Royston House BYO?

The venue is not licensed. Alcohol is BYO so that allows you plenty of flexibility in terms of champagne toasts, signature cocktails, wine, beer and spirits. No corkage fees apply.

Do you provide power?

Yes, Royston House is a powered site. The main house runs on mains electricity and your lighting/sound will connect to this. In the unlikely event of a power outage, we can supply a small generator that will be sufficient to connect to basic lighting and sound, so you'll still be able to party the night away!

How many weddings are held at the venue on any given Day?

Royston House understands that guests want private access to create a special space, without the pressure of rushing. We offer couples exclusive use of the property during your stay, whether you decide that will be 1 day or a week.

Is there a minimum spend?

No, as long as you have secured the venue by signing the contract and committing to the agreed fees, you have the flexibility to bring in vendors of your choice and within your overall budget. We will always be here to support you and assist with the process.

Do you have a wet weather option?

Most couples opt for a marquee wedding so will naturally be protected in the event of rain. If you're planning a garden wedding for a smaller number of guests we can assist you in moving furniture onto the generous wrap-around verandah.

is parking available for guests?

Yes, we offer free parking for you and your guests. Chartered/courtesy buses will be welcomed by one of our friendly staff.

Do you have toilets at your venue?

The main house has three toilets for domestic use only (for up to 12 guests who may be using this accommodation). Couples will need to supply portable toilets for the event. Our venue coordinator can discuss a range of options to suit your budget and number of guests.
